Today we've got a guest who's a concept artist, a style icon, and an all-round crypto enthusiast who's seen it all, from Silk Road to NFTs. Welcome to our world, with Slatt.

Karamel: Hey Slatt, happy we managed to connect. I’ve been following you for a while and appreciate your sense of humor. Now tell me: what initially sparked your interest? Was there a particular coin that made you dive head first?

Slatt: Silk Road 🙂 and bitcoin originally. ETH was what really got me into CT, though.

K: Over time, has your perspective on crypto changed? What influenced this shift?

S: I think I’m definitely kinda jaded but still believe in crypto maybe now more than ever because privacy is shrinking every day. CBDCs are really not it.

K: What was your most significant win? What made it possible?

S: I think my biggest win was either selling a cool cat for 13ish eth or a doodle for 11. Part of what made some of my biggest plays possible was large airdrops like $ENS.

K: Now the other side of the coin - the biggest fuckup. What led to it and how did it influence you?

S: I’ve fucked up a lot, but the one that taught me the most valuable lesson was losing a MAYC ( cringe, I know. thankfully I bought it around 4 eth). It was from social engineering and trusting someone I shouldn’t. Don’t do shit involving your wallet when you’re tired, also — you’re literally not thinking straight.

K: What projects or ventures are you working on? How do these align with your interests and skills?

S: Under NDA for one, but outside that I’m in the brainstorming phase on some AI shit. My skills are in marketing and building a network of people even though I’d consider myself more of an introvert truly than an ambivert. I wanted to do NFT stuff, and I still might just as a passion project, but I’m kinda turned off at the moment.

K: What are your long-term goals? In other words, why are you here and how will you get where you’re going?

S: I wish I were more specific or grandiose about my goals, but I’ve been through a lot, and at this point I just want just want to work for myself, buy a house and some land outright or at least with a significant down payment, have a wife and kid, and a couple nice cars. Nothing too fancy. That and I want to be able to travel whenever I want.

thank you xx

K: How not to get REKT? How to win?

S: The only real way to not get rekt is to basically not play the game, but I think I’d generally say find people smarter or more experienced than you and learn from them.

The only real way to not get REKT is to basically not play the game.

K: If you could give your young crypto self advice, what would it be?

S: Stack all the ETH from your sales and airdrops, and don’t gamble it all on NFTs.

K: How do you foresee the future of crypto?

S:In short, I think with CBDCs on the rise, there will be more people interested in it.
